GENERAL GAMEPLAY CHANGES

CAREER PROGRESSION SYSTEM
  • The Road to Glory has been replaced by a new system: Career
  • Earn Career Stars after every battle. Your Player Level defines the amount of Career Stars earned per victory
  • Earn enough Career Stars to reach the next Career milestone, get a rank promotion, and claim new rewards
  • Defeats do not impact your Career Progression and therefore this system is purely for tracking a player’s growth in MCVS rather than for competition
  • Existing players will receive all non-consumable (i.e. currency) Career rewards for milestones they’ve already completed retroactively
MEGA EVENTS
  • New Mega Events with incredible rewards can be accessed by using tickets as an entry fee
  • Mega Events run only from Friday to Sunday
  • Access the Mega Event by using Tickets earned through completing contracts and special events during the week
  • In Mega events, complete event milestones to earn shards
  • Earn 100 shards to claim the final reward—which includes the rarest pieces of Gear in the game!
  • Move fast, because shards are not carried over to the next Mega Event!
NEW AGENT HUB
  • With the introduction and revamp of systems that surround Agents, the Agent info page has been redesigned to display all the info you’ll need to know about each of your Agents. This includes:
    • Info: Now displays your Agent’s core stats and combat attributes
    • Loadout: Learn more about your Agent’s weapon and abilities
    • Upgrades: View and craft your Agent upgrades to unlock their full potential
    • Mastery: View your current Agent Mastery progress and claim level-up rewards!
    • Gear: Access the new Gear system to equip and manage your Agent’s gear
    • Outfits: Previously called Skins; select an outfit for your Agent!
    • Jerseys: Customize your Agent with a unique jersey
    • Camos: Customize your Agent’s weapon with a unique weapon camo
REVAMPED AGENT MASTERY SYSTEM
  • The Agent Mastery System has been updated to now visually display the full progression and rewards for each level
  • The amount of Agent XP required for each Mastery Level has been adjusted.
  • The rewards for reaching new Mastery Levels have been updated! Players can now earn more than only Credits upon leveling up. Past players who have attained Agent Mastery levels will receive all the rewards retroactively (non-consumable rewards only)
UPGRADE SYSTEM ADJUSTMENTS
  • The Upgrade system remains the same, however we’ve reduced the maximum increase of Health, Damage and Ability from upgrades to +45% (was previously +70%)
  • This change has been made to tighten the fairness between Agents with different total upgrade points.
REVAMPED PLAYER LEVEL SYSTEM
  • The Player Level system has been upgraded significantly
  • On top of increasing the amount of Trophies earned per victory, it will now also add a bonus on the Health and Damage of all Agents as you increase your Player Level. This percentage increase is equaled to your Player Level
Developer comments: The Upgrade system previously increased the core stats of an Agent by up to +70%. We’ve lowered this to +45%. Additional bonuses to Agent stats can now be gained through the revamped Player Level system (up to +45%).
We’ve made this change based on players’ feedback: it was too difficult to use a new acquired Agent because they were too underpowered compared to upgraded Agents on the battlefield. Now, your Player Level will give a significant boost to all your Agents, including newly acquired ones. The gap in power between an Agent with no Upgrades and a fully upgraded Agent is now more balanced, making it much fairer for our entire population of players. Meanwhile, the time and hard work you’ve spent on increasing your Player level is now much more rewarding.

REVAMPED SHOP
  • The shop has been redesigned to be more straightforward
  • Daily new cosmetic items, offers and bundles will now appear in the shop. Make sure to visit the shop every day, and don’t miss out on great deals!
REVAMPED MAIN MENU
  • The main menu is now clearer and easier to use
REVAMPED ONBOARDING
  • We’ve completely redesigned the experience for new players entering the MCVS battlefield!
  • Features will now progressively unlock as your make your way through the Career progression system
  • Existing players will also be introduced to the new and revamped systems with new information screens upon entering update 10
SMART-SHOOT TOOGLE
  • Quickly switch between auto-shoot and the shoot button by tapping on the smart-shoot toggle directly in your HUD!
SYNC YOUR PROFILE ACROSS PC
  • PC players will now be able to sync their profile across Steam and Windows!
  • After installing update 10, please go to your game’s “Settings” à “Accounts” à “Link a Device” to be guided through the linking process
  • This can be done multiple times to switch between playing on both Windows and Steam!
ANDROID IMPROVEMENTS
  • Increased FPS overall for all Android devices
  • Improved the visual quality of the game on Android devices
  • A “Graphics Slider” has been added to give players the freedom to change their graphics quality to suit their needs
  • Added an option for players to set and limit their FPS in order to improve game stability
  • Improved game stability through reducing crashes
  • Google Play Achievements have been revamped!
  • Added the Google refund feature
MAP IMPROVEMENTS
Stadium:
  • Visual overhaul: new elements and details added to the map to enhance the sport championship theme.
  • Replaced PIT-2 middle wall with glass on both sides and removed a wall in PIT-1.
  • Removed half covers in CENTER-1 along with the small wall in the middle.
Sandstorm:
  • Moved zones A and C in Warzone to a new spot to improve combat and navigation flow
  • Rearranged the truck’s position on OCTO’s side of the map
Blackrock:
  • Blocked an unwanted hiding spot next to the sniper nest
  • Blocked an unwanted hiding spot behind the building near the submarine
  • Improved balancing of covers next to the Generator zone
OTHER IMPROVEMENTS
  • Ability persistence: Most agent abilities do not get destroyed when killed. Only when they switch to a new agent does their ability get destroyed. (E.g. Kult deploys a poison trap and then is killed. Kult’s poison trap will remain on the battlefield until it is destroyed or until the Ability duration is complete.)
  • FOV slider: Mobile devices now have the option to change their ‘Field of View’ in the gameplay settings
  • Live Tournaments: We have added a Pro Tournament rule where players can play with or without Gear
  • Fixed Spectator Cameras: We have added a third camera mode in Spectator Mode called ‘Fixed Camera’. Players can spectate the battlefield from 10 unique spots across each map
  • Anti-hack measures have been refined and updated
BUG FIXES
  • Fixed bug where Monark sometimes cannot reload.
  • Fixed Monark’s animation conflict causing him to mess up his swap to his pistol
  • Monark bots will be temporarily removed from games
  • Fixed a bug where players playing with Revolv retains her “snap to closest target” behaviour even when they switch Agents
  • Android achievements can now be properly obtained
  • Fixed a bug where Ghost cannot cloak if dying after stabbing with his Ultimate Ability in the last second
  • Fixed bug where the gadget icon (i.e. the marker for Knox’s turret in-game) appeared blank for Agents
  • Fixed a bug where it would show Tower’s Ability as full when he would swap to his Shield rather than it showing it’s empty and accumulating charges
  • Fixed a bug where the score ticking sound effect would play forever when doing rounds in a match
  • Map bug fixes:
    • Central: Fixed a bug where players could hear the train warning alarm during the match setup
    • Central: Fixed a minor opening in the ground in front of the OTCO spawn
    • Central: Fixed a hole in buildings near the KORP spawn
    • Stadium: Fixed a visual bug happening on specific background railings
    • Blackrock: Removed certain objects that appeared on low quality maps only

    • Slums: Fixed the KORP guideline path of the Ramshackle zone in Zone Control
    • Slums: Fixed vegetation glitches in several spots
    • Apex: Fixed a missing collision on a vent next to the Depot zone entrance

AGENT BALANCING

M0NARK
  • Decreased Pistol rate of fire by 50 rounds per minute
  • Decreased the healing gained from damaging enemies from Le Magnifique by 30%
SW1FT
  • Increased weapon distance by 2 meters
  • Decreased weapon accuracy spread by 11%
KULT
  • Increased primary weapon damage by 8%
  • Increased weapon poison damage by 11%
  • Increased Poison Trap damage by 25%
TOWER
  • Decreased recovery time for when the Shield is unequipped or when it breaks
  • Increased Tower’s health by 8%

SWEEETTT

It's been ages since I could get excited anymore for new updates on videogames. Reading the changelog thoroughly and such.

Now with MCVS updates I actually feel like a kid opening his chrismast present!

Seems like you guys are buffing out the agents. Just one comment on this, skill based UA agents need buffs too. For example, Mi-Nu and Monark or Juke, they simply don't have passive effect on their abilities and require constant control from the players. Compared to, like Kult's trap, or Knox's turrent on which just set the trap/turret and go on with it.

Also any news about the Android sprint button? I'll check it out as soon as I update but just thought I'll ask while I'm posting this anyway.

Thanks for the update!

Anyway for the active UA Ghost's implementation is good. For every kill they keep x second of the UA

For example Mi-Nu UA will be extended for 3 second on each kill. This way player get rewarded to use active-skill based UA.

We want to do more improvements for the Android controller. But we couldn't fit it in in this update! Perhaps in an upcoming hotfix! Thanks for your feedback exorio!

It's funny considering this is a feedback thread for an unreleased update. :)

The GEAR SYSTEM seems like another way to differentiate people that put money into the game from people that do not, like if the character upgrades wasn't enough.
You guys know why people stopped playing MC5 and started shifting towards Critical-Ops and other trully fair mobile shooters, don't you?

Anyways, the update looks cool in many aspects so let's wait until we can play it to make real opinions about it.

Mmm yeah I just notice this from your reply.

Balancing game with different characters is difficult enough, let alone with character upgrade. And now they add this "gear" system.

I bet "find" gears they meant buy lootboxes.

Feels like maxing out character is pretty useless now.

It's pay 2 win and GL want to squeeze more out of it.

I think that the gear system is dissapointing. It just feels like a second upgrade system and the stats they boost don't even seem that exciting or hugely playstyle changing. Instead, I feel like everyone will choose the same gear depending on the agent. Like, I'm going to bet that the ability recharge gear is going to be on everyone's Knox and Hashtag.
Imo, I think the current upgrade system should've been completely revamped. I would've made it like an upgrade tree. Each agent could have like 50 levels, and half of them are just basic linear upgrades (like we have now), but then the other half are multi-choice upgrades, where you choose between two or three upgrades. And each agent would have a unique set of upgrades, meaning that it will guarantee that every option is a viable choice, instead of having gear with no use (ammo boosting upgrades on Ronen or headshot damage upgrades on Blaze) or little use on certain agents (headshot damage on basically any assasin).
You could have your basic upgrades like health and damage, but also have abilitiy upgrades. For example, for Kan you could choose between upgrading the durability or duration of his dome, etc.

Or maybe they restrict the number of gear pieces you can equip to one agent, which would really emphasize the "playstyle customization" purpose of the gear system.
