I can totally relate. My advice since this is my 2nd time having game play issues is:
1. Take a screenshot for proof
2. Put in a ticket ASAP & remember your ticket #
3. When posting for help on FB Page & in these forums include your ticket # on every post until your issue has been completely fixed
4. Don't stop playing & collecting because they will only fix what the glitch caused you to lose by giving you gifts via pop-up. There is no restore to where you left off & extra time given.
5. Ask for a manager if you feel the customer service rep doesn't fully understand how to help you
