
I'm a little disappointed. There have usually been at least 4 days with at least 4 gems each. This time it's 1 gem-day less.
But for some reason one day is still a mystery. If it's worth a lot then it might explain this.

The chests are classified as gambling. China's legislation is the reason why we now see the odds of each item in the chests - the law requires transparency to the consumer as to exactly how rare a "rare" item is. After China did that, Apple followed suit and made it a requirement for all games in the app store that use loot boxes.
If you play in China, you can purchase gems with money and spend those gems on chests, but you cannot directly purchase a bundle of chests with real money. It's the law!
