Different Colors in Clan Chat

Do you know how to remove the character limit for messages in clan chat?

I didn't know you could.

We banned yellow, orange, light blue and white in our clan because they are hard on the eyes lololol 
We have it documented somewhere on the wiki (the colors and how to use them, not the yellow, orange, light blue and white being banned LOL).

Yuppers  we  use  it ..I use Red for ATT: clan..
When I need  to let them know what we are  doing ..
This  way  they can see  it ..IF it  doesn't roll of  the  board..
And  if it  does  I use  purple  or Turk.... 

Other wise   colours  are  not used...

And  yes Yellow  or  white  are  usless..

I have been using the colours for ages in clan chat.
I post all the weekly events and DOTM and DOTW combo's in Blue.
Red for Clan Att. like L.D.
And Purple now for congrats for cooking Leg recipes :O)

I used to use # 3 for red text in clan chat when I was as co-leader.  We wrote red recommendations for clan events.  I knew about other colors, but didn't use them.  Most of the time my clan chat didn't work at all, lol, so it was useless for me. Anyway, thanks Sheesh!

Yep, been using the colour codes for well over two years.  As others have said, they're really useful to make important things stand out.  However, yellow and orange aren't much use as you can barely read them!

In Android, you can type many more characters in clan chat, if you access the chat from the clan dragon screen.  However this doesn't work during the Great Dragon Race or Sugar Rush.  Probably won't work during Emerald Wars, either, but it's fine during Clan Siege.

The limited characters isn't too much of a problem in Windows.

I get really irritated in Android, as the backspace key is right next to Enter/Return.  So frequently end up posting things that weren't ready.  My trick when posting a long message is to prepare it on my laptop in Google Keep.  Open Keep up on the phone and copy and paste the whole thing into chat.  Also means that you can keep a stock of messages that you want to post regularly - useful tip for Clan Leaders.
