I’m not making any statement about monetary impacts of this issue. I’m just making a moral, ethical one. GL continues to prioritize new features over fixing significant defects in this product.
If I wanted to make a monetary statement about fixing this issue I can only say that customers with similar opinions to my own recognize that GL has not demonstrated the ability and/or desire to deliver a stable A8 product. So, they have lost any chance for us to invest in their other products or continue to invest in this one.
Raise your hand if you think you can trust GL to deliver a reliable product that you’d be willing to spend any real money to play and support? Anyone?
Over the years I’ve spent loads of money in this game. (VIP 12) Back when I did, the game was more stable and when it wasn’t, fixes were actually a priority. But over the last year or two, that has changed. And now there is simply no case that experienced players can use to justify buying GL products. These products are likely to be defective and even if you purchase a working feature in them, those features are likely to lose their value and/or be taken from you completely.
So, as someone who loves this game, I wish it was in a different state. I wish that this issue was the top priority. I wish that I could justify spending money on a game I love again.
But this issue is demonstrably not a priority and/or is beyond their ability to fix. So, the game is defective. And I will likely stop playing in the near future. And I won’t be playing any other GL games because I cannot be sure they will be any more stable.
And that is why I am sad. 😔
