Here, Harry, an interesting passage from another (Forman’s) great movie. I think it illustrates (kinda in a reverse mode) your words.

Great movie but I fail to see how a mostly fictional film about Mozart supports your argument. Surly if he didn't record his music properly they'd be no movie.

Forum software woeful and out of date. Who said that? I've just received a PM from Running Bird dated 10 days ago (I'll get back to you on that). Best bit is, I've switched the PM option off. Fantastic.

It's about “misspelled” notes that wouldn’t work, Harry. In “our” case we were addressing great pieces of great composers and the potential ‘source’ of “misspelled” notes - musicians. In the movie it’s kinda vise versa. We have a virtuoso (who also happens to be a great composer) and the ‘source’ of “misspelled” notes (“That really doesn't work, does it?”) -  a plain and boring (“The rest is just the same, isn't it?”) piece composed by Salieri. Luckily Mozart makes the piece work and “alters the music so that it turns into the celebrated march to be used later in The Marriage of Figaro”.

I am sorry, Harry. That thing with “following the notes or playing a piece as one likes” was sarcasm. I should have written it. An “assumption” that musicians may play as they like was an allusion to TS’s statement about everybody writing words as (s)he likes (no “proper” grammar). My bad.

I may be wrong but I think that professional musicians playing classical music would never allow themselves frivolities. If they would have, then the admirers of classical music would have grilled them.

Here, I think we can consider the final part of the piece, played by a student, as a set of “misspelled” notes :)

Oh dear, having ct'd on A8, I've now got a new addiction: mp golf. 😄Am I getting old??😜 It's completely mental. Imagine every mp race being a 2 player vs, where you drive the first third of the track on your own, then sit and watch  while your opponent tries to catch up with you. No kd starts, and no kd's! It's FC with knobs on.  Except that while either of you are driving, you can bombard each other with emojis and standard phrases like Well played and Good luck. Like I said, bizarre 😅 As for game enonomy, you can have real fun footling around in the lower leagues competitively without spending money, although I've paid £9 to get a kickstart because both deals were actually f'king good (Come on GL, here's a game that knows how to get people to spend! £9 was about the money I spent on A8 in 5 years!) I'm doing ok, still feel like a complete n00b - the alien skill I've seen is amazing - but I dont  know how far I can go yet without it being a regular subscription. If I stay addicted, I'll let you know.

(Also, so far anyway: no bugs, no glitches, and no cheaters 😲)

Koenigsegg employees made a mini 12 minute movie with the Regera. Nice diversion. A beautiful car offsets the bad acting. 😛

Enjoyed it. Thought I would share...

The plot combined with the tag line is kinda funny too. Judged by the final part of the movie to reign means hosting guests while leaving your precious car half-washed and with foam on it under the sun. :)

Nevertheless, the movie is funny and enjoyable and was worth sharing. Thanks, oldman!

BTW The "F10 Ängelholm" used to be a swedish air force base between 1940-2002.

Some of the SAAB aircrafts there was the "J35 Draken" and the reconnaissance version of the ajsf and ajsh37 VIGGEN.

I am surprised that the birds would be back so soon to lay new set of eggs and this time they have layed 3 eggs 😂

Very good oldman. I had a Cleesiasticle moment yesterday on the phone.

A very nice lady in India from Three Mobile called me to ask if had any problems during the pandemic. Not really I replied but 2 pence has been removed from my account. 40 minutes later I was given £115 credit but they can't give me back the 2p.

I now have a zombie £4.98 on one of my phones. :)

@harry k,
Your a bit of a tech head,
As mentioned in another thread I bought myself an iPad Air, I actually bought an iPad 7thgen for my 88yo mum.

My mum is in an aged care facility, nursing home, and because of the corona virus pandemic it’s in lockdown for at least the next 6 weeks.

The facility is allowing me a 1 of visit during the lock down to give her the iPad. The visit is tomorrow @ 11am for 30mins

Is there a app I can install on both iPads so I can view her iPad desktop, Just in case she needs some assistance, easier to help her if I can see what she sees.
I already have set up her email and Facebook and installed a few games I think she would like and a library account so she can read/ listen to a few audio & e-books.

Cheers
Ron.
