Hey Racers!

In 2018 we continued our efforts to bring more exciting content to Asphalt 8 by adding new vehicles, a new track, and challenging events. We also celebrated the 5th anniversary of Asphalt 8!

Now we’ve got some big news for you as a lot of great things are on the horizon for Asphalt 8 in 2019. In addition to our usual content and feature updates, we will be making various balance improvements to keep the game fresh, exciting, and competitive for all players.

So keep on reading to get the scoop on what’s coming to Asphalt 8 in the next update!

Car Rank Adjustments - Solving a Substantial Matchmaking Issue

One of the biggest issues with the current MP system is that it creates imbalance in the game by boosting certain cars to dominance. With a specific upgrade scheme, these cars can reach fantastic top speeds while maintaining a relatively low Rank. That makes them difficult to beat with most other cars of similar Rank.

In order to eliminate this issue, we have decided to adjust the Rank of certain cars. But only the Rank itself! No other car stats (Top speed, Acceleration, Handling, Nitro) will be affected by this change.

With this change we hope to get even closer to a MP experience where the winners are determined purely by driving skills and game knowledge.

In Summary:

• Only some cars will be adjusted. That includes all vehicles from Class A, a few cars from Class B and Class C, and the Special Edition car that will be introduced during the Chinese New Year celebration. Below you can find the full list of affected vehicles.
• Only Rank will be affected - no other car characteristics or stats.

We will constantly monitor the chosen cars to decide if more adjustments are needed to ensure that we meet our goals. We’re happy to hear your feedback, so feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions!

Rebalanced Pro Kit Upgrades, Car Mastery Rewards & Car Collection Rewards

Our other priority is to eliminate any imbalances in the game economy that were inevitable after 5 years of game evolution. To achieve this goal, we will adjust:
1) The upgrade requirements for most cars
2) The values of Pro Kit Cards
3) The rewards from Car Mastery and Car Collections

IMPORTANT: If currently you are counting on some specific rewards from Masteries or Car Collections you should claim them prior to the update 31! (It will be released by the end of the third week of February. The current hotfix is here to introduce the Lunar New Year RnD) .

With these changes, we believe in-game resource distribution will be more in line with their rarity types. This makes different in-game activities equally interesting to players as they consider the potential rewards each one provides

On the Horizon

Our overall intention for 2019 is to have fairer competition, better matchmaking, and more freedom of choice when choosing a car for competition. We are also working on an exciting new track and game modes, so stay tuned for more news!

See you on the Asphalt!

When is the update coming?

The update will go live in approximately in the third week of February and it won’t be mandatory for a week to give you time to adapt to the changes. After that time you will have to update the game.

When should I claim my rewards?

If you want to receive the current rewards from Masteries or Car Collections you should claim them prior to the update which will go live in a week.

What will happen with the claimed Masteries or Car Collections rewards after the update?

Do not worry - all the claimed rewards will remain as they are and will be available after the update as an option for cars upgrading.

Is it possible that any specific mastery or car collections reward might improve/change? If so, would you receive some kind of deduction/reduction ?

You need to decide if you want to claim the rewards before or after the update. No compensation will be given due to this change.
