Dear Gameloft,

yesterday i owned your very promissing game for android called "asphalt 5+ hd" located at your wap portal. My expectations for the application, which had cost me around 3,50 euros and 50 megs of space were really high, cause i already knew the iphone version of it.

But i wasn´t able to install the game, everytime i tried it, a error message appears, which tolds me that i haven´t enaugh free memory on my device, even if i had 150 megs of free memory. I cant really believe, that the app needs about 150 MB, so i guess it must be some kind of programing error.

My thoughts get confirmed as i read in droidforums.net, where i am actually a part of the news team, that other users had the same problems while installation. Also one guy you should know from this forum, called "gertman". He told the community, that he worked with you together for about one month to solve the problem.

But you mostly told him to redownload and reinstall the app and that doesnt do the trick. So i now requesting you to give us some clearance. Tell us that you really released a non finished product and give the money back to the guys that already paid for the non workung game or REALLY help to solve the problem out.

I wouldn´t like to write about your bad cooperation in droidforums.net with our 45.000 members or in my own smartphpne forum that i admit.

So i wait for your answer soon.

greetings a. reinhardt.

I just want to correct you on one portion of your above message, I am still trying to work with Gameloft to get them to fix the memory error issue.  But the impression I am getting is that they think it is just on my phone.  I want them to know that nobody has been able to successful install it.  Then maybe they will realize this it IS actually a legitimate problem and fix it.

I apologize if I gave you the wrong impression about Gameloft. They first will resend you the program a bunch of times and then offer you another game.  Through this forum is they only way of getting real tech support.  They claim that the have tested it and it works.  This is after a month they said they actually tried it and it works?  So this is why I have tried to get more users to speak up.

in essential i think its the same. we havn´t usuable results. and they should change it. if they resend it to you or tell you to download doesnt really make a difference. also that they blame it just on your phone isnt very professional. i doubt if they tried the game out on real devices or just on the emulator. i hope others from droidforum will join this board. we want our asphalt Smiley. and if that dont works i dont want another game, then pls gameloft send me my money back thx.

i have read it. but a guy wrote the following :

Hello guys
i have some informations for you:

    * Asphalt should install and run fine with 160 MB free in the device (the flash memory, not to confuse with the sd card), it's working with my Droid, and it's just awesome ! it's possible it won't work in the Milestone, if i'm not wrong our folks in europe have less flash memory.
    * Why dont they release it in the marketplace? i guess it's just because the marketplace is commun to every Android device in the place ! and obviously Asphalt 5 won't run in a G1 for example, so they cannot sell a game in a shop knowing that only a few devices will run it
    * Why is it installed in the internal memory and not the sd card? well reading the forums and the android support, it seems it's impossible to install an app in the sd card...not their fault here

Hoping this info will help! cheers!

-------------------------------------------------------------

PLEASE tell gameloft that the last point is ABSOLUTELY wrong. apps CAN be installed in sd card
. look at exzeus from hyperdevbox. you install just the exceutable file around 1 mb and the other data will be downloaded after the first game start on sdcard. also raging thunder 2 you download 4 mb executable and 20 megs will be downloaded to sd just to name two.

yeah but its really strange that gameloft dont answer ME  Huh?. i have many good contacts with important developers but gameloft is the first that dont reply me. not very nice  Grin.
ok gameloft if you read that :

you have to make an APK with the game´s executable file. then you have to upload the game data on a server from you. and integrate an option in the game, that it will download automatically the needed data from the internet to the sdcard. in theory thats all. in programing i dont know cause im no programer. greets.
